Fasting schedule calculator

Calculate an example intermittent fasting window from your last-meal time. Compare 12:12, 14:10 and 16:8 schedules without an account.

This calculator illustrates the clock times in a 12:12, 14:10 or 16:8 daily schedule. Choose a fasting duration and the time your last meal ends. It adds that duration to show the next eating-window start and the remaining eating hours.

8-hour eating window, ending at 8:00 PM.

Illustrative clock schedule only. No account is needed; your input stays in this page and is not sent to a server.

How the calculation works

The next start time equals the final-meal time plus the selected fasting hours. The eating window occupies the remaining hours in the twenty-four-hour day. For 16:8, sixteen plus eight equals twenty-four.

If your meal ends at 8:00 PM, the default sixteen-hour example produces noon the following day. Change the last-meal time or schedule above to compare other examples.

What the result does—and does not—tell you

The result explains a timetable. It does not recommend that you follow it, determine how much food you need, start a fasting timer or synchronize with the Fasting+ app. It also does not account for daylight-saving changes, travel or medical requirements.

Check whether fasting is appropriate for you.

Discuss changes with a clinician. Johns Hopkins advises against fasting for under-18s, people who are pregnant or breastfeeding, people with eating-disorder histories, and people with type 1 diabetes who use insulin. This tool cannot assess medical suitability.
